Each player has a dream to represent his country at the World Cup. I received a call-up for the first time in 2008 in a match against Hungary.
Although, our biggest achievement came in 2009 in a match against Poland, where I caught every ball. What was the result? Slovakia, in 1st place as a national team in the qualification group and me, as the best player of the match.
In the given year, I played all 4 matches of the national team and thus significantly helped the team to advance to the Round of 16 in the World Cup.
In July of 2010, I became part of the Blues, the Everton Football Club. The experience I gained thanks to the training I obtained here, helped me to improve my skills as a goalkeeper coach.
Now, I can offer the right guidance for my trainees through their own path and to provide credibility based on experience as a goalie for the most successful English football club in the highest English competition.
Slovak player of the year award has been awarded since 1993 where the final ranking is done by football professionals, coaches & journalists. In 2009 I received this award as 3rd best-rated soccer player in Slovakia.
At that given moment, just right when I was announced as the recipient of the award, I felt like my hard work paid off. In the end, this gave me the right motivation to keep improving.
My career path at the Legia Warszaw club was lined with many successes. However, I was announced as the goalkeeper number 1 in the Best XI in the 2008/9 season for the first time.
The best XI was put together by journalists and considered by points, which we as players earned during, at least 16 matches, in the season.
I was flattered that I was chosen as the goalkeeper in the top eleven. Another big success came along when I was named the top foreign player in the Ekstraklasa. This, but foremost my previous successes, helped me to the status of a reliable player and foundation of my later coaching.
